Corrosion Test Systems

Corrosion test equipment, Chests (TLC-Series),
Corrosion test equipment, Chambers (FLC-Series)

In the salt spray test, the test objects are exposed to a salty mist atmosphere at elevated temperature, simulating the stress caused by oxidizing corrosive substances with a time-lapse effect.

Acetic acid (AASS) or copper chloride (CASS) can also be used as additional spray additives. Salt spray tests are often combined with other corrosion test methods to form so-called cyclic corrosion tests, in which the different phases are passed.

The features of the RSI Corrosion Test Chests and Chambers include:

  • Low energy consumption
  • Standard compliant according to DIN EN ISO 9227, DIN EN 60068-2-11,
      ASTM B117.
  • Test room material: polypropylene or special stainless steel materials.
  • Ergonomic operation via Touch Panel.
  • Integrated data acquisition.
  • Dosage of the salt spray solution via a controlled diaphragm pump.
  • Saline storage tank with free operator access.
  • Various options and customer-specific wishes.
  • Suitable for corrosion tests according to ISO 6270-2, ISO 9227,
      ASTM B 177, VDA 621-415, PV 1208, PV 1209, PV 1210, ISO 11997,
      LV 124, Volvo 423-0014, Volvo STD 1027, SAE J 2334, DIN 55635,
      VDA 233-102, PPV 4017, Renault ECC 1, GMW 14872, GMW 3172
      and more.

Condensation / Corrosion test equipment (Kesternich)
Cab and CabS Series

Cab Series

The resistance of coating materials to moisture is determined by exposing the samples to condensation water.
This simple but very effective quality test creates permanent condensation on the test specimen. The optional use of sulphur dioxide allows a test run for higher demands (Kesternich-Test).

Features of the RSI condensation and Kesternich test chambers include

– Standard-compliant construction according to ISO 6270-2, ISO 22479,
   ISO 6988, DIN 50018
– Test chamber material: high-quality stainless steel materials
– Test room door and glass panes made of safety glass

CabS Series

The combination test chambers offer a simple and cost-effective introduction to corrosion testing. Due to their basic design as condensation water units with salt spray equipment, they are suitable for condensation water climates as well as salt spray tests and combinations of these test runs.

The features of the RSI combination test chambers include

– Standard-compliant construction according to ISO 6270-2, ISO 22479,
   ISO 6988, ISO 9227
– Test chamber material: high-quality special stainless steel materials
– Test room door and glass panes made of safety glass
